What Is The Difference Between Gold and Silver?

What Is The Difference Between Gold and Silver? (Don’t Worry This is not a Back-handed Numis Opportunity Pitch! - ha)

winningorlosing

I can give you “How-To” tips all day like Tips on Article Writing, how to generate leads, etc. However unless you have the right mind set it is falling on deaf ears.

One close comparison I have seen with business success is the Olympic athletes. These guys train for years for one attempt at a medal. That takes some serious time, consistency and dedication. The thing is, what is the difference between them winning Gold or Settling for second best Silver?

It can be less than 1 second!

So what is my point? Well, just think if these guys decided to take a month off here and there in those training days, what do think would have happened? Yeah, that might have been the difference that made them come second or worse and miss out on the goal of their life that they worked years for.

If you are here to settle for second best, then I suggest you give in now - Go for gold and work hard and consistent.

    Great video Wayne,

You know there is another lesson here, when we watch a big race we see the end result.

We see the last few seconds, the last few moments where all the glory is.

What we don't see is the hundreds or thousands of hours of blood, sweat, and tears that comes with training. All for no money, for no glory, for no recognition. With only the belief that THEY WILL one day be great to keep them going.

They only get the gold after they do the hard yards... just like us really

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Hey Wayne,
Great story. The thing about all of those athletes is that often times the difference in winning and losing is not even a noticeable difference.

  • Hey Wayne,

Love this post -- I almost thought this was going to be about Numis, too!

Anyway, it is super impressive that these athletes are able to stay focused for YEARS to make their Olympic dreams come true.

  • Hey Wayne!

    What an inspiring post!

Athletes are consistent in their training, both physically and mentally.

The same principle applies to those of us with our business.

We need that consistency and dedication to make it!

    Thanks for Sharing!

  • Hey Wayne.

Great video. Having that little bit of an edge does make a difference. It's like using the slight edge in our home business.

Never, ever give up. Cheers to that!

  • The Slight Edge! What a great comparison. I love that book!

    Thanks for passing by Jerome.

  • Hey Wayne,

    What an inspirational video!

After watching that...Makes me wanna bust out several more articles, videos, and capture pages. It is so important to continue the momentum everyday. Even when you have those days that you feel like putting it off for later...Later is too late!

    Chat with you later, Champ!
    Josh

  • Hey Josh,

Oh for sure - later never comes! I know those feelings though, important to battle through it and relax after you hit your goals :)

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Hey Wayne,

Less than one second is right. Setting a goal is easy when you're just starting out. But once your business is going it gets more fine tuned. You find yourself working hard for a 2% increase in conversions. But it's those large goals that seem small to outsiders that make all the difference.

  • Hey Chris,

You are right, those small increases make a big difference and are well worth working for.

  • Hey Wayne,

What a great video! You're right, it takes dedication, and a lot of it, to get to the top.

This is a wonderfully inspiring post. Thanks Wayne!

    Susanna

  • Hey Susanna,

I am glad it inspired you, It done it for me! The work these guys have to put in is unreal, and not for a few months - years!

Thanks for passing by my friend.

  • The Olympics is a perfect way to explain a work ethic.

These athletes can not afford to lose 1 day of training. The day they miss wont help them!

Each athlete is in remarkable shape physically and mentally. But the ones who go the extra inch will be the ones who come out victorious!

The same applies to business and life ingeneral

    Dwayne

  • Hey Thanks Dwayne.

Yeah, business requires very similar mind set and principles.

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Hi Wayne,

Just as well you included the Numis clarification! I almost didn't read further. Not that I don't think they're a great company, I'm just tired of being shown something I don't need to know anything more about. Ha ha The gold you speak about however everyone can have in any company , now that's far more attractive.

    Cheers
    Marcus

  • (Ha) No worries, that is definitely not my style of marketing, and further more I am not involved in that opportunity.

And yeah, anyone can do it if they work hard and be consistent.

    Cheers buddy.

  • Hey Wayne..

Thanks for sharing that video.. .5 seconds difference is insane.. but you're right about being consistent and not giving up..

    see you at the top
