NuSkin is a business that provide the well known Nuskin Galvanic Spa and cosmetic products to their customers internationally. They offer a NuSkin MLM model to retail their products to the masses. The company now known as Nu Skin Enterprises was originally founded in 1984. The executive board includes Blake M. Roney (Board Chairman), Steven Lund (Vice Chairman) and Truman Hunt (President & CEO).

Nu Skin Enterprises reported their biggest financial year in 2008 with annual turnover over $1 Billion. They also report that they are a leading direct sales company. Nu Skin Enterprises are a global companies in over 48 countries worldwide including North and South America, Europe and Asia.

What products do the company sell?
As you probably know they provide the Nuskin Galvanic Spa product. They have three major brands: Nu Skin, Pharmanex and Big Planet. Nu Skin is a skin care product. Pharmanex is a weight loss program that they report will take the guess work out of weight loss. Finally, Big Planet is a brand all to do with technology. The Big Planet range includes Photomax, Maxcast and eBusiness Tools.

Photomax is a photo sharing package, Maxcast is a video archiving and sharing solution. Finally, eBusiness Tools is a solution for businesses to leverage technology.

How Do You Make Money with The NuSkin MLM International Opportunity?
The business report that they paid out over $500 million in commissions and sales compensation in 2008 and have over 750,000 distributors worldwide. The distributors can basically earn commission in two different ways: selling the product direct (such as Nuskin Galvanic Spa) at retail value after purchasing wholesale from the company. The second income stream is commissions from personal products sales and sales made by your team network.

One observation that I liked about this company is that they give a very realistic outlook on what it takes to make real money with the business. Also they very clearly state that it is not a get rich quick scheme and it will take considerable time and dedication to get results. That honesty speaks volumes in my book.

They also mention that they do not include the first income stream on their average commissions statements to not distort the figures. They state this is due to the varied nature of the retail sales. Again I think that is fair.

It comes down to this, the MLM industry has a 95% failure rate and regardless of how great the compnay is or ethical they are it comes down to the individual to make the sales. This is the bit where most fail. The bottom line only the elite top 5% that join really stick it out long enough to work out how to market correctly.
