MLM Success Training - Its Not What Happens, It Is How You Set Your Sail!

Today I woke up and was happy to get working on my Q2 plan, inspired by Derek and Monique Alvarez’s post My own personal blog evaluation.

Then guess what happens? My broadband is down! ;( Now, you may think this is a great opportunity to do nothing for the day and have an extended Easter Break? Well, hell no!

I learned a valuable lesson from Jim Rohn’s MLM Success Training: “Its not what what happens, it is how you set your sail”.

So, what is Jim on about?

Well, when you base your income on profit rather than wages there will be many challenges that come your way. He means that everyone has issues and problems, but the Moaners let them defeat them and kill their life goals! The winners feed of the problems and turn it to their advantage

MLM Success Training 101 - Don’t Be Chicken Little!

One of the biggest parts of the jigsaw puzzle is a positive mindset. I was listening to an audio book recently by Robert Kiosaki and he talked about “chicken little”. This character always turned an issue into a tragedy.

Don’t let things get you down and think about how you can do something positive to combat it.

MLM Success Training 102 - How You Set Your Sail and Turn A Bad Experience To Your Advantage

Let us take my experience today as an example, I could have said well, hey I can’t work today let me relax and goof off all day, instead I turned this simple life problem into a valuable piece of content.

I cheekily used this problem, found some keywords and put up a post that will earn me some more traffic, leads and profit. So,next time you get a problem, think about how you can use it to your advantage and “set your sail” the right way.

  • Hey Wayne,

Surprised you didn't put a little time into Tetris or some Wii.

Great job turning a problem into a post. I need to remember to do this sometime when everything in the world seems to be coming between me and my work. The next time I write a blog post on napkins in Taco Bell, I will write it about writing a blog post on napkins in Taco Bell. Ha

I have said it before may time, but Jim IS the MAN.

    Hey Wayne,

Good topic my friend, its so easy to come up with excuses for yourself.

The thing about having your own business is that no one will say anything if you don't work, you need to take responsibility and make it happen!

Thanks for the kick in the a**
    Matt

  • I gotta hand it to you Wayne, that post took me back. We will always have obstacles in out business and life but giving up should never be an option.

  • Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the mention, man. Jim Rohn's the best -- good job making lemonade out of lemons. A lot of people would have sat on the couch.

  • Hi Wayne,

    Great topic!

There will always be people who make excuses why they can't do this or that.

Luckily, there will also always be people like you who make lemonade out of the lemons life hands them.

The second kind of people are the ones I like to hang out with :)

    Have an awesome day!

    Ilka
