Is FaceBook PPC The New Magic Pill For Your MLM Business Plan?

Facebook PPC - Magic Pill?

Facebook PPC - Magic Pill?

Recently I have been hearing a lot about facebook PPC. One of my buddies Derek Alvarez has some great training on this, go check him out.

What I Like About Facebook PPC to improve your MLM business plan…

The thing I like is the competition it creates among its competitors. Too long Big G has had the monopoly on PPC and large traffic reserves.

Meaning for us people that are MLM home business owners and advertisers, we had to put up with some major “BS” from Big G if they woke up out of bed the wrong side, are you with me?

Yes, if we were unlucky we got SLAPPED!

Here Is What Concerns Me about Facebook PPC….

I have been online now for over a year. Trust me in online years it feels like ages. I have seen so many traffic trends come and go, it is like watching the billboard charts each week - ….. Oh oh What’s Hot This Week? - ha…..

My Point Is….

If you are new to the game, and you have not hit your first dollar, three or four figure month then be careful. You may be still in the vicious cycle of following these traffic trends and losing your money and your tail.

You can almost make any traffic source profitable, but you have to stick with it through the “pain barrier” and learn how to extract cash from it. Don’t jump into Facebook PPC as your new magic pill and give up in 60 days, then jump onto the new thing.

Either stick with what you are doing already and master that first. Alternatively check out some of the early pioneers like Derek Alvarez, choose it, make a commitment to it and master it!

  • Hey Wayne,

I think facebook ppc should be a smaller part, of a bigger strategy. There is a time and a place for it. It takes a couple to three months to really start dialing in for best results with Google before you crank it up. With Facebook you can have some targeted traffic coming while you are still testing with Yahoo and Google. It's just a piece to the strategy.
  • Hey Wayne,

    Thanks for the mention!

You're right -- focus on how you're going to convert your leads to cash first, THEN see how you can get a lot more leads!

Facebook Ads are just one of the many ways you can do it.

I'll tell you this, now is the time to get it going, though, because all the hype is going to lead to what happened with Google -- high competition and expensive clicks.
  • Hey Wayne,

There sure has been a lot of talk about this lately. Makes a person curious. I've been looking at PPC lately, and more recently been wondering if maybe I should start with Facebook.

I'll have to do a little more homework. Thanks for the heads up. There is a lot of noise out there...

There will always be a new trend but that does not mean you have to buy in! Do what works best for you and don't think because it works for someone else that it will work for you. Frankly I just don't have time for any more strategies unless I drop a current one and why would I drop something that I know is already working?

    Happy weekend to you.

    ~Marcus
  • Hey, makes sense Marcus.

    Have a great weekend.
  • I think it is very interesting what is going on with Facebook PPC but if I am going to take any advice, I am listening to Derek and Eric. Then you have Josh, who makes a great point working the methods that are working for you.

I am personally looking to develop my copy and SEO skills and leverage that within my content taking it from my blog and spinning that web throughout the Internet.

    For me, that's WWN!

    Party on Wayne!
    Tommy D.

BTW - What plug-in did you use to put your video into the right column of your blog?
  • Hey Tommy,

yeah, stick with whats working now for sure, if you get results scale it up.

As for my plugin, no plugin - just a side widget with embedded video :)
  • You can limit any paid traffic by your bids and daily budgets. The people who lose their arses with paid traffic don't set the right bid limits and budgets and don't realize it before it's to late.

    Good point,
    Eric McMillan
  • Hey Eric,

Very true, I like to set a low budget and optimize for a high CTR before scaling up.

Not with FB currently, but on other paid sources.
  • Great point Wayne.

It's good to be aware that if you're not making any money then some of these trends can really through a monkey wrench into the mix.

However, once you're out of that whirl wind, that's when it's time.

    Have a great weekend,
    Jerome Ratliff
  • Yeah, that is my thinkibg Jerome.

    Have a good weekend.
  • I agree, if you are not making any money yet then advertising on FB is unlikely to cure all your problems.

That being said, there are some great opportunities there IF you have a solid understanding of the fundamentals.

    Great post,
    Matt
  • Well said Matt!
  • Hey Wayne,

There is to much noise going around about Facebook PPC. There is at least one new product launch about this every week. My take is you have to become good at generating traffic and converting traffic. What method works best? You have to test out what works.

    Have a great weekend...
    Josh
  • I hear ya Josh.

Im not knocking it, just as long as people focus on it to make it work.

    Have a great weekend>
  • Mmm... food for thought! It's very important to be focused about your traffic generation strategies. Whichever one you choose, you've gotta stick at it until you're getting results, otherwise you won't get traffic.

    Thanks,
    Wayne
  • Remember that song ages ago Jump Around by Kris Kross (the dudes who wore their clothes backwards)?

Well jumping around from marketing strategy to marketing strategy without conquering any will have your business going backwards.

Derek's Facebook PPC stuff is great BTW

    Dwayne
  • The Mac Daddy will make you JUMP, JUMP
  • LoL!
  • Lol - Yeah, remember that one well.

    Great analogy Dwayne.
