  • Hey Wayne,

good advice, and something that isn't touched on enough lately. People have more or less turned away from press releases. Press releases are a great way to gain interest, as long as they are well written.

I have to disagree with Josh. There are wrong ways of driving traffic. I paid for a company to guarantee 25,000 visits in one month when I put my first website online. It turned out to be pop ups of my homepage, and I got cussed out in my comments section for weeks. Lesson learned.
  • Hey there Wayne,

How I first brought in traffic was primary through article marketing, forum postings and other social media avenues. I've only dabbled in press releases but not so much for bringing in traffic to my blog.

I'm a firm believer that using all of these sources does help.

    Have a good one,
    Jerome Ratliff
  • Cool, I think a few people have had a dabble here and there. There is definitely some great link juice to get from it.

Thanks for passing by my friend.
  • Killer value here Wayne

I forgot all about press releases.

Gonna jump on it later today.

    Thanks for the reminder
  • No worries Dwayne, so did I until about 3 weeks ago and went crazy with them! (ha)
  • Thanks for this Wayne!

I've never used Press Releases but it sounds like it's another great way to get people where you want them.

  • Extra, Extra, Read All About It,
Wayne has hit on an often overlooked strategy that can drive a lot of traffic. I started to do a ton of press releases last month, but got side tracked with some other stuff. The ones I have done in the past drove a fair amount of traffic.

  • Yeah, it is amazing the amount of syndication you can get off those suckers!
  • Hey Wayne,

Article marketing and press release is how I started blogging. Press release works and will drive traffic to your blog. Today, I use a combination of social media and SEO to drive traffic. The best part, there is no wrong way to drive traffic. You just have to start somewhere...That is the key!

    Chat with you later...

  • Hey Josh,
