Does 97% of MLM Distributors Really Fail?

Does 97% of MLM Distributors Really Fail?

Back In 1849…. Now that is some time ago! :)…… There was a mad Gold Rush of California. People from far and wide would go crazy with the thought of lining their pockets with wads of gold.

3 Feet From Gold

Many of these gold hungry searches would dedicate all their days to finding the little “golden nugget” that would change their life for ever and give them, and their families financial freedom….. sound familiar?

The Point is, the majority of these people never found one measly piece of gold and just lost time and potential earnings they could have made if they invested that time more wisely.

However, they didn’t fail because there was no gold there, no Sir! They failed because they gave up before they found the gold!

Here’s The Thing About MLM Distributors….

The fact is this, 97% of MLM Distributors “DO NOT” fail!….. Yeah I just said it!….. This MLM success rate reflects the number of people that actually gave up before they found the Gold!

Why Do 97% of MLM Distributors Give Up Before They Find Gold?

In my opinion this is simple, most MLM distributors look at the top MLM distributors and set that as their bench mark. They figure that if “Guru x” makes 5 figures a month residual, then they can do it.

Now this thinking is actually right, because as Jim Rohn told us “Anything is Possible”…. However the “Time Expectation is all wrong“! Too many people think these top MLM distributors jump into the industry and bank 5 figures in 60 days!

So, what happens? 97 out of 100 MLM distributors try really hard for 60-90 days then give up before they ever find the Gold! Make sure you don’t contribute to this MLM success rate.

  • WOW! Wayne, this is sooo true!! I wrote something just like that in my last post, ..."Failure Is Not An Option? - It Better Be If You Want to Become A Network Marketing Pro."

97% of the people who do join network marketing don't fail actually, ....they do give up to soon.

Example... and this is a true story. There was this lady who signed up a very dear friend of mine. She quit the business a few months after he enrolled. Well .... he went on to build a HUGE downline and made lots of money. She however .... lost out!!

Failure is an option - but quitting never will be! At least not for me :)

  • In the movie Armageddon Billy Bob Thorton says to Bruce Willis, "tell me you've never let anyone down." Bruce Willis responds, "I've never quit yet, is that good enough"

I think that about sums up the thought here. The only way you really let yourself down is by quitting.

You are so right with this Wayne,

The only true way to fail is to give up, you see examples of this everywhere.

Just look at D Trump, back in the 90's he was personally 900 million in debt and his company was around 2 Billion in debt.

If he had of given up then, he would be know as one of the greatest failures. However he kept going, and became a Billionaire.

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Have I ever felt like throwing in the towel?

    You bet!

    But I'm not a quitter.

It's the same thing with fear:

Brave people get scared just like everyone else... But they are able to OVERCOME their fear.

That's what it takes to make it in this biz, the ability to overcome your fears...

Whether of failure, of being rejected, of being laughed at -- even of success itself!

  • Hey Wayne,

You're totally right.. I hear it all the time. "Go Full Time Within Your First 90 Days" - not saying it's not possible, just saying that people that go in it with that mentality, get disappointed very fast.

    Great post..

  • Hey Wayne.

How ironic that you talked about this. I was speaking to one of my team members about this. It was about when it was really time to give up and throw in the towel.

Basically it came down to only losers quit and winners keep on keeping on. It's just the way it is.

  • Hey Wayne,

Well said. Unfortunately, a lot of people make these false promises too and they really don't serve this beautiful industry well.

There's a brilliant story about that "3 Feet From Gold" in Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich! Great that you mentioned this.

    Onward and upward,
    Wayne

  • Hey Wayne,

You are right, these mis-representation do hurt the industry.

Oh and yeah, that Think and Grow Rich story is great.

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Hey Wayne,

I'm glad you are talking about this. So many need to know this that most people that fail is because they quit. I know for some it hurts to make changes within themselves. That is a factor of quitting. When you can embrace the change within yourself everything around can be yours. Of course, if you go after it!

    Chat with you later...

  • Agreed Josh.

It is hard for most people to work on a project that has no guarantees of success or guaranteed income. It is understandable, but that is the risk of business.

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Hey Wayne,
The 3' from gold reminds me of that story in either Think and Grow Rich or Magic of Thinking Big, I can't remember which one. Too many times people are only a short time away from their goals and they give up because they don't have the will to move forward.

    Great post,
    Eric McMillan

  • Hey Eric,

Glad you mentioned that, this post did have a little inspiration from that book. As you may know I am a fan! :)

    Hi Wayne,

Yep I have to agree with you. People give up way too soon which is why they fail.

People often ask me how long it will take them to become successful. I always say probably a lot longer than anybody is telling you but at the end of the day it will take as long as it takes you and that has nothing to do with anybody else.

    ~Marcus

  • Good answer.

The thing is, everybody is different so comparing results to someone else is not good practice.

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Hi Wayne,

That's right, quitting is the #1 enemy of success.

    Awesome post!
    Susanna

  • Oh for sure!

Thanks for passing by my friend.
