Back in the early 90s there was a video game that everyone use to go crazy for, it was called Lemmings

If you have not heard of it before, you are in luck, I have a Friday treat for you!!

FRIDAY FUN => CLICK HERE NOW TO PLAY LEMMINGS <=

Anyway…. I digress, the game focuses on this group of suicidal creatures that would willingly follow the crowd off a cliff just because everyone else is.

Have You Got Your Own Attraction Marketing formula or are You just Copying The Masses?

Yesterday I talked about my attraction marketing blueprint, and how I personally like to get my name out and brand myself. The point I want to make today is this.

You have to learn “how to” market, you also need to learn the correct “method” to do things, such as attracting people to you and not begging people to join you.

However you need to find your own “style” that people will identify with, this is your own unique attraction marketing formula that will make people come to you. As we all know, everyone is different in their own subtle way.

For example I wouldn’t expect to go onto one of my buddies Dwayne Huggins or Chris Owen’s blog and see half the madness I come up with, because we are different (actually, correction, Chris probably would do a crazy post - ha) , similar goals, but different way to achieve it, are you with me?

This is, unfortunately one thing that no “how to” eBook can teach you, just be yourself.

  • Hey Wayne,

Sometimes being a little bit crazy is the only thing that keeps me sane. LOL But I know you know where I'm coming from there.

You definitely have your own way of standing out. That is why I was compelled to write that post about you and your crazy pics. I consider all of it copywriting and give you credit for having some incredible ability to find just the thing to stick in my head for days.

Another great post Wayne. I'm with you on Mario Cart Wii by the way. Definitely a top 10. You know though, I still seem to play the games that came with it at purchase more than anything. I have now perfected my play against myself tennis technique. I hold one controller in each hand and play both sides of the court. It's a blast. LOL

  • Hi Wayne,

Great post as always! And actually, I do remember "Lemmings" as my kids used to play it. I thought it was kind of a silly game, but kids will be kids.

Anyway, a very wise person once gave me this advice ... "Watch what the masses do and do the exact opposite." Ever since I have tried to find my own way.

Oh, it's much easier to follow the masses .. or the beaten path. Making your own trail, that's what leaders are made of.

    Have a great weekend!

Haha classic game, but lets be honest... nothing beats Mario Carts...

You're right on with this post, you will never stand out and be successful by being a sheep!

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Hey Matt,

Now you are talking - Mario Kart Wii has to be in "top 10" of all time!

As you said quite rightly, don't be a sheep!

Have a great weekend my friend.

  • Yeah, don't be a sheep. But be a shepherd. Be a good shepherd at that! Gosh I remember lemmings from when I was in Grade 3. How old was I? 8?

  • A blast from the past alright!

    Nice quote there buddy.

Thanks for passing by, and have a good weekend.

  • Hey Wayne,

"What can I do different today?"

This is what I ask myself every day.

    Nice post.

    Make it a great weekend!

    Ken

  • Ken,

That is a great thing to ask to stimulate positive changes. Great suggestion.

Thanks for passing by my friend, and have a great weekend too.

  • I so remember this game Wayne.

I had it and it was addicting all just to prevent those little buggers to not jump of a ledge.

Sticking out like a sore thumb is something we should all be aiming for while growing our business. It speaks to who we are.

    Spot on post...

    Jerome Ratliff

  • Hey Nice one Jerome,

    A fellow lemmings addict ;)

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Trust me on this Wayne,

I've always stuck out like a sore thumb! Only a few years ago did I figure out that this could be a good thing (LOL)

P.S. I never knew about that game -- I used to play Dig Dug and Donkey Kong in the arcade, though...Ah, fond memories.

    Have a great weekend!

    -- Derek

  • Hey Derek,

Some true retro gaming there ;)

Thanks for passing by my friend.

  • Hey Wayne,

When people are following the same blueprint as everyone else. Which I'm seeing being done over and over again. It is hard to stand up from the crowd. Because everyone looks the same, taste the same, and smells the same. Now, when someone decides to take the plunge and put their name out in a new crowd and shake and rattle things. Now you will be notice and stand from the crowd.

    Have a great weekend...
    Josh

  • Taste the same? Really?..... I take your word for it Josh (ha)

On a serious note, yep, you are right my friend, well said.

Thanks for passing by and have a good weekend.

  • Using the blueprint laid out by the successful people in the business is a great place to start. The people that are successful, take that blueprint and modify and tweak it so that it fits their personality and style. If you follow the same blueprint and don't modify it, you are using the same techniques as thousands of people you are competing with who won't step out on a limb and stand out from the crowd.

    Eric McMillan

  • Hey Eric,

Well said brother! I know you have been tweaking your strategy well lately and mixing with some real MLM superstars ;)

    Have a great weekend buddy

  • Hey Wayne,

If we don't stand out, we won't be noticed. The only real way to do that is to be ourselves, since there is no one else in the world like us.

You are one of a kind and as you let that show, you start to shine. You're a pro at that, almost blinding us! haha

Have a great weekend. (Don't break any more phones) ;)
    Susanna

  • Why thanks Susanna! I am all choked up now.... :)

Oh and as for the phone dropping, "hopefully" never again...

You have a great weekend too my friend.

  • marcusbaker

Wayne where do you find these crazy pictures my friend? OK I know you can't tell me cos then you'd have to kill me and I'm having far too much fun for that to happen!

Yes attraction marketing is very easy really. At the simple friend level, someone is attracted to you because of who you are which is different to anybody else. No difference and no secret in business, just be who you are! The problem is too many people are trying to be like everybody else.

    Have a great weekend!

    Cheers
    Marcus

  • Ha ha!! It is a trade secret :)

To be honest a variety of places.....

You are very right, just be yourself.

    Have a good weekend buddy.

  • Lemmings was a very addictive game, the buggers were to happy to just follow the Lemming in-front of them off the cliff.

Thanks for the mention, much appreciated as always.

My post yesterday was about standing out form the crowd by being uniquely YOU.

We will all get to where we want to go, we will just be in a different car.

    Happy Friday
    Dwayne

  • Hey Dwayne,

Will be checking that post in just a sec, as you say great minds....

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Wayne,

Great way to look at it. There are so many different people
out there you can relate to, you just have to find them.
Attraction marketing gives us an advantage because these
people are going to find YOU!

    Tommy

  • Hey Tommy,

    I love that advantage! :)

    Thanks for passing by.
