3 Article Marketing SEO Mistakes To Make You Lose Blog Traffic and Cry Like A “Man Baby”!

Article Marketing SEO Cry Like Man Baby

Article Marketing SEO Cry Like Man Baby

First thing first, do you want to cry like a “Man Baby”? Assuming you answered right and said no, you did right? (ha)

Well, here are 3 things to avoid to insure that you make a success of your Article Marketing SEO and generate a large amount of free blog traffic:

Article Marketing SEO Mistake 1 - Personal Resource Boxes

Many people that start article marketing make the mistake of a boring resource box. It is easy to assume that a resource box is an advert for you as a person, you know what I mean, a type of personal profile - well it is not!

The resource box is your big sale for a click through. Understand this, people are selfish, all they want to know is this - “what is in it for me”?

So make sure you write something catchy and relevant to get that click!

Article Marketing SEO Mistake 2 - Low Volume

In order to stand a chance with article marketing to drive free blog traffic, you need volume. You will also need quality, but massive action is the key to success. That means if you are one of those people that put out a few articles and conclude it doesn’t work then Article Marketing is not for you.

Article Marketing SEO Mistake 3 - Wrong Keywords

Remember this, Article Marketing is all about traffic, amazing free blog traffic that you can create with no investment. So you need to make sure that you are not writing about random topics without targeting specific keywords.

If you are using the right article marketing strategy you should be targeting your “main keywords” as well as LSI - If you have not heard of LSI <== CLICK HERE for some SEO advice!

Low volume and you you get all of the above...

  • Hey Wayne,

Low volume was one concept I did not understand two years ago. Then I discovered and found out why I was getting any traffic. Now it's a different story. Knowing what I know, I can avoid these mistakes like a bad cold.

    Have a great day,

  • Hey Wayne,
Keywords are King. Even the resource box doesn't make a difference if you don't put yourself in front of some traffic. You are the article marketing mac daddy. Whipping out tip after tip.

    Great stuff,
    Eric

  • Hey Cheers Eric,

Oh, and you are right - wrong keyword, no viewers of your resource box!

Thanks for passing by my friend.

  • Hey Wayne,

The mistakes I made early on with my article marketing was having weak resource box. As you do more and realize that this is nothing more than your personal marketing classified ad. Make sure you think it over to add something compelling. I love the other two points!

    Chat with you later...
    Josh

  • Hey Josh,

Yeah, I think we all made them mistakes at first, I too used to use it as a personal profile. As they say "you live and you learn".

Thanks for passing by my friend.

  • Keywords are King. Content loaded with targeted keywords is a marriage made in heaven.

The resource box is your own little ad. Make it good.

    Great tips as always.

I agree with Susanna. When is your Article Marketing Ebook coming out?

  • Wow - 2 requests in 1 post! (ha)

Well, I wish I had more time to get it planed, you never know I may suprise you all ;)

    Thanks for passing by.

  • marcusbaker

These are three fundamentals when it comes to effective article writing. I think the most important is that of keywords. Unless you get that right the rest really doesn't matter a while lot.

    ~Marcus

  • Hey Marcus,

Agreed, keywords are important across the board online. It is worth spending time getting this down to a fine art.

    Thanks for passing by.

  • Hey Wayne,

So when is your "Article Marketing E-book" coming out?

Great tips, like the what to avoid as well as what to do. I think it's cool you made sure to say "if you are one of those people that put out a few articles and conclude it doesn’t work then Article Marketing is not for you."

As with so many other things, consistency is vital.

Hope you had a great weekend!
    Susanna

  • Me?.... eBook? No way! (ha)

Cheers, glad they added some value. And agreed consistency is definately the way forward.

Thanks for passing by my friend.
